Michele Diaferia becomes CEO of Itel
Since a young age, he joined the company founded by his father, Leonardo, in the research team involved in various projects, including the Massime project (Innovative mechatronic security systems for railway, aerospace, and robotic applications) and the Amiderha project (Advanced mini-invasive diagnosis and radiotherapy systems).

ITEL signs an agreement with AAA
Advanced Accelerator Applications S.A. ("AAA"), an international group specialized in Molecular Nuclear Medicine (MNM), signed an agreement with Itel for the production and marketing of F-18-based radiopharmaceuticals to nuclear medicine centers in southern Italy.
Itelpharma Inaugurates a Second Production Line
Itel inaugurates a second production line of the Itelpharma radiopharmaceutical workshop
The operation is based on an investment of 2 million euros, co-financed by the Puglia Region through European Union funds.
Linearbeam is born
Linearbeam is a new division of Itel Telecomunicazioni S.r.l., dedicated to the development of a complete proton therapy system based on a linear accelerator of protons (p-Linac). It was established thanks to a €14.9 million investment from the RIF (Research and Innovation) fund, assisted by Equiter.
Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte visits Itel.
The interest generated by the Erha project, the proton linear accelerator for cancer treatment, led Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to visit the Itel and Linearbeam facilities on April 13, 2019.
