Open Shielding Box
The Open Shielding Box (OSB) is a Faraday cage EMI/RFI shieldingfor open low-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems (up to0.4T).It’s made with modular shielding panels to offer shielding solutions fordifferent types of users. The OSB can be adapted to MRI rooms of anysize as it consists of panels of custom standard size, made of powder-coated aluminium and bolted in a rigid structure, self-supporting andversatile mounting.Perforated sheet metal panels allow direct visual and verbal contact,thus reducing the sensation of isolation and anxiety that the patientoften experiences in MRI rooms with traditional shielding, increasingthe level of communication between patient and operator. The OSBalso allows to reduce the total cost of ownership of the MRI site thanksto its panels that, being self-supporting and perforated, make anchorsto the walls of the host room or dedicated systems of ventilation andlighting superfluous.
